Tomahawks Open Regionals At Meridian

With the addition of Edinburg and Kincaid to our enrollment, we've moved up a class to 2A in the IESA State Tournament. We've been assigned to the Meridian (Macon) Regional #13 and will play the host team on Tuesday, September 13. With a win, the Tomahawks would move on to play the #2 seed, Pawnee, at Meridian on Saturday, September 17th @ noon. CLICK HERE for a link to the full bracket. Bus time for Tuesday's game will be 2:45.

Team Pictures on Monday

The JrHigh boys will be taking team pictures on Monday prior to our game with Meridian. She will start taking the pictures at 3:30. We'll try to get this announcement to SF & Edinburg, but parents and players can help with this by letting Ken & Chris know. Coach Ferrill has the forms.

Player Parent Roster Now Complete

The Parent Roster is now complete...yes, I know, the season is half over. Finally (I think), I have the parents correct, finally figured that Coady had a "a," and added our newest Tomahawk, Clint Thomas. We'll have them available in the concession stand, but you can get a look (and check for more mistakes) by clicking HERE! Click HERE for the LineUp Card.

Baseball Calendar Now Up & Running

The Tomahawk baseball schedule is now on the Google calendar as well, so you'll see the games and practices listed on the right. Each game contains a link to the game location on the Mohawk Baseball Map page and you can use the link to get directions directly from google to your location. Their is also an extensive list of directions on the direction link above that will get you to the game sites as well.

New & Improved Baseball Schedule

Mville AD just updated the Tomahawk Baseball schedule with a couple of date changes and new bus times that reflect the pickup of South Fork/Edinburg players. The dates should be the most current we have, but all are subject to change as you would expect with a baseball schedule. Normally Coach M would add his own pretty stuff to the schedule, but Ms Hanlon did a pretty good job already so it was left intact for your viewing enjoyment. The Calendar will get an update sometime early this week, so you will see events in the box on the right. LINK TO REVISED SCHEDULE.

The Red Events Box Takes You To The Calendar

Tucked between the Game Changer Link & the daily schedule is a red bar that reads "events." This is a LINK to the team calendar. Now that the site is back, games and practices will be posted on that calendar and you'll be able to see what's going on with the Tomahawks this Fall and the Mohawks once the Fall season is complete.

Barb Smith Wins Final GameDay Drawing

The final GameDay drawing, a bonus drawing to cover dates with no winners, was done on the Saturday of the regional championship. Barb Smith purchased the last ticket we sold this spring from Zach Rever, and told Coach M that she NEVER won. Well now she cannot say that again because the last ticket sold was also the last to win! Thanks to those who purchased tickets this spring and made the promotion as success for the 11th year. Next year's team will have to work hard to cover some great salesmen (Casey 106, Kenny 85, Memphis 62), and thanks again to Larry Boston who sold 92.

Sheila Unser Scores $100 In Game Day Drawing

Sheila Unser was the big $100 winner on the final regular Game Day drawing with number 687. We have added a bonus drawing for Saturday (regional championship game) with money from dates with no winners, another Mohawk Baseball supporter will win $100 on Saturday, which will be the final date for the 2011 Game Day program!

First Brick Order Complete!

The first order for engraved memorial bricks was completed last week to allow for completion of the brickwork on the outside of the dugout. A total of 50 bricks came in a little at a time throughout the last month. John is going to leave some of the middle section open until after our formal dedication of the dugout this summer (July 30th, the Saturday after the Morrisonville Picnic). We'll continue to take orders until that day and then we'll finish that portion of the wall. Please help Coach M out by letting former players know about the bricks, many have missed the invitation and information and current players and fans will be the key to getting the word out before July.

Sample Bricks Delivered

Tim Turpin made a trip from Southern Indiana to drop of 4 sample bricks from Diamond Yard Bricks. The bricks will be used as part of the Dugout reconstruction project. Bricks will be available to any Mohawk player or fan, and are not limited to Baseball. The Mohawk Baseball Fanpage now has an event page dedicated to the dugout project as well Dugout Event Page.

Thanks to Tim for creating the samples and making the trip. The bricks will be put into place by John Fenelon who did much of the brickwork on the centerfield wall and completed the Cade Snyder Memorial in the pavilion.
