Mohawks At Miller...thanks to all who helped make the tailgate, game and trip a success. Special thanks to Rolly Moore for taking care of the grills and tables & Bob McQueen for getting the extra grill on short notice.
I will make a CD with all Joni Kraner's pictures available free of charge to anyone wanting a copy. You'll likely have to wade through a ton of pictures to find your favorite. Thanks to Joni for making the trip...she took a day off work to come (it did take some begging by Coach M)
Several Mohawks ended up with homerun balls out of the ivy in centerfield courtesy of one of the Brewers ground crew. All 27 boys in attendance got to at least hit and all played at least two innings on the field...the Elkhorn coach was very helpful in this regard. The Brewers staff that helped us were also great...they gave us our full 2 1/2 hours. Can't imagine at better way to end the season (well...we could have scored a few more runs!)
Kincaid Players & Parents At the moment there has been no decision on the COOP for the next two years. I have been told it really comes down to how strongly the players feel about the arrangement. There is a Board Meeting scheduled for the 21st of June...no arm twisting here, but if current players want to continue the coop, they need to be at the meeting. Past players could also be helpful and parents who have a strong opinion should also make their will known. Obviously, I (Coach M) want to continue, but players past and present should present their honest opinion on what would be in the best interest of South Fork students. Please DO NOT feel pressured to speak positively, give an honest evaluation of how you feel the COOP arrangement has worked or not worked in your experience.
