The Mohawks took on Madison in the Seniors last game at Memorial Field. The Mohawks continued their streak of winning a first round regional game that began in 1993.
The now annual "Wings Challenge," gave those who had "talked the talk" to "walk the walk." 4 Mohawks took the challenge, one went "down in flames," quite literally without much fight, but 3 achieved Mohawk stardom by eating the 16 wings without the aid of food or water.
The Mohawk Frosh/Soph competed against Taylorville's Freshmen on a perfect late April afternoon. Great game capped by some great hitting and strong pitching performances. What could be better than baseball at Memorial Field on a sunny day!
Game shots from the MSM conference game at Lutheran. The stats girls did a lot of posing for the camera, so there are a few cameos of them amongst the shots of the players...the girls are improving with the camera though!
The Mohawks enjoyed a great time at the Gateway Grizzlies home field, GCS park. The varsity game turned into a 10 inning marathon, but that just gave our JV a chance to play a full 7 under the lights. It was the very first game of the season at the 3 year old stadium.
Nothing could keep the Mohawks from preparing for their next game versus Tri-City. Although school was out, most of the Mohawks were able to get into town for practice, and all Mohawks know that if we're going to practice, we're going to be outside at some point.
The Tomahawks battle the Lincolnwood Knights in one of the final games of the Fall 2007 season. The team was young, but fiesty! Two 5th graders graced the roster, and the average height for the team was well under 5'.
There isn't a good way to hide these play shots from the baseball page...so in order to get them up they remain on the site. Lexie playing lead in the musical version of Cinderella at the Springfield Theatre Center.
