Our Baseball Spring Trip for 2010 will involve two games at Road Ranger Stadium in Rockford and a trip to Milwaukee to catch a Brewers vs Cubs game. The trip will take place on Saturday & Sunday, April 24th & 25th. We will be leaving Morrisonville at 7:00 AM that Saturday for games scheduled to begin at noon. We will be the guest of Lena-Winslow & Dakota for the afternoon. No specific arrangements have been made for a JV game that day, so it is possible the JV boys will not be playing. No player is required to make the trip, but I can't imagine why any of the boys would not want to be a part of the activity...it's going to be fun. Links to the stadium and other trip information will be added as we close in on the date.

Tickets had to be ordered for this trip back in early February, I have had requests come in by paper, phone, and email. I will post the requests I have record of and try to update as I get requests. Please note that I may not be able to take care of any requests that are made from this moment on, but I'll try. It is quite likely I've missed someone or made a mistake with numbers somewhere, let me know and I'll get it corrected. Do be patient here...ALL of this, including over $2,000 worth of tickets and $1,000 of hotel rooms is currently on my credit card, and at my risk, I've had to be somewhat cautious to cover myself. If I've made a mistake...play nice and we'll get it fixed. :-)
Tickets for the Brewers-Cubs: The Brewers have huge crowds every time the Cubs come to Milwaukee so the can, and do, charge more for these games. They are "premium" dates, so even though I have purchased a large block of tickets, they are still very expensive seats. I ordered and paid for 71 tickets total on February 1st, I MAY be able to get more, but the seats will not be as good as my original order. Upper Deck is the least expensive at $20 per ticket (21 tickets), the left field bleacher seats were $30 and I cannot get more of these (40 tickets). The box seats were $55 and I only purchased 10...in the past I've had a few that wanted the better seats...if you are one of those people, let me know and I'll reserve those for you. For those who reserved early, let me know your ticket preference and I'll try my best to work it out. As you can note in the totals below, total tickets required is already hovering around my ticket numbers, so if your name is not on this list and you want tickets, it is imperative you let me know ASAP.
Hotel Rooms: I have 22 rooms ordered through Hotwire at the Crowne Plaza Hotel near the Milwaukee Airport for Saturday evening. The 1st set were $50 per room including taxes, the last set were $54 tax included. There is NO GUARANTEE I can get any more at these prices, but I'll try if I get more requests. At this moment, as you will note below, all but one of the 22 rooms has been requested (this could change depending on how many players make the trip). There is absolutely no huge reason anyone would need to stay at the hotel, there are plenty of others to choose from...many of which are closer to the stadium...these just appeared to be good rooms for a good price in a good location for what we needed.
Payment for tickets and rooms: Both the tickets and the hotel rooms required prepayment (one of the downsides to Hotwire). So while not demanding it, it would be VERY helpful if tickets and rooms could be paid for as soon as it is possible. Make any checks out to the school and I'll reimburse myself as payments are made. The kids will owe about $15 per room and whatever tickets they choose. I'm still hoping several decide to grab the remaining Game Day tickets to cover some of this expense. Individual players are welcome and encouraged to sell to cover the costs associate with the trip. Nearly ALL of the $30 Bleacher tickets are sold...have sold ZERO of the $55 boxes...let me know ASAP because ticket choice will so be gone.
