Mohawk Baseball Spring Trip 2012

The Mohawks will travel to Memphis for their annual Spring Trip on April 28th & 29th. Link to TRIP SIGN-UP FORM. Rooms and tickets for the trip have been reserved, but more can be had, so if you want to make the trip, contact Coach M. We'll depart very early Saturday, April 28th & return late Sunday night.
  Links To Trip Highlights:
Memphis Redbirds The Redbirds are the Triple A Affiliate of the Cardinals (highest level of minor league play) and play their games at Autozone Park in downtown Memphis. We'll be attending the Sunday game on April 29th. Tickets are $10.
Hotel: Quality Inn Millington, Tennessee Total Cost for the hotel, including all taxes will be $63.72. Coach will pay with one check from the school, those using rooms will need to write a check to the school. Hotel does have complimentary breakfast and is very near the USA Baseball facility.
USA Baseball Stadium This will be the location of our Saturday baseball game. This is the former site of the USA Olympic baseball program. The Southern Athletic Conference will be conducting their Conference Tournament on that date, so we'll be playing on the second diamond. The Hotel is directly across the street.
Graceland Mansion The Mansion that belonged to Elvis Presley is now a shrine to the singer. We'll hit the Mansion for a tour on Sunday morning. Tickets are $15 for the group. This is the "platinum" tour which normally runs $36. Tour time is 10 AM on Sunday morning. Parking will be free for the bus, but will likely cost for other vehicles. We will head downtown following the tour. No video on the tour, pictures are OK, but no flash is allowed.
Lambert's Cafe The home of throw'd rolls, this is a fun place to stop and eat. This is the original restaurant, right off of Interstate 55, about half way to Memphis. Seating is first come, so we'll stand in line...it's reasonable and worth the stop. The bus will hit this spot on the way home on Sunday. NO CREDIT CARDS!!
Rendezvous BBQ Downtown Memphis This is still an optional part of the trip. Group costs are really high, so we'll do better to just do a walk up. This is a Memphis institution, so as such, it is one of those places that needs to be a least tried. It is two blocks from Autozone Park where we'll be watching the game on Sunday afternoon.
